About Teens Krav Maga

Krav Maga was developed by the Israeli military, and it's designed to be simple, easy to learn, and most of all practical. It's meant to be taught to the masses regardless of size or level of ability. Our Teens Krav Maga program teaches that same approach to ages 12–16, in a class built for teens that challenges them without intimidating them.

Our Classes

Our classes are taught by certified instructors who know Krav Maga and work well with teens. Each class combines self-defense technique with conditioning that builds strength and endurance, and it teaches valuable lessons like staying composed and defending yourself while fatigued. Teens train with others their own age in a positive, supportive group, and the focus and discipline they build carry into school and everyday life.

Your First Class

Every teen starts with a private Starter Session. Your teen works one-on-one with an instructor for 45 minutes, learns the basics, and meets the person who will coach them. Afterward, we recommend the right class placement. No experience or athletic background is needed, and there's no long-term commitment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my teen start with no experience?
Yes. Teens Krav Maga is built for complete beginners. Every new teen starts with a private Starter Session, so they learn the basics and feel comfortable before joining a group class.
Will my teen train with adults?
No. Teens Krav Maga is its own class for ages 12–16. Adults train separately in Krav Maga Self Defense (ages 17 and up).
Is Krav Maga safe for teenagers?
Yes. Classes are supervised and controlled, with age-appropriate techniques and a focus on control and awareness rather than contact sparring.
Will my teen learn practical self-defense?
Yes. Teens learn simple, effective techniques that hold up under pressure, taught step by step so their skill and confidence grow over time.
What if my teen isn't athletic?
That's fine. Many teens start with little athletic experience. Instructors break techniques into simple steps, so every student improves safely and builds coordination over time.
Can this help with confidence and stress?
Training builds confidence, focus, and discipline, and it gives teens a real physical outlet away from screens.
What happens during the Starter Session?
Your teen works one-on-one with an instructor for 45 minutes, learns fundamental movements, and gets comfortable with how we teach. Afterward, we recommend the right class placement.
